Shiurdt & Clonde for Recess
Two characters as eccentric but perfectly matched, just like the ingredients in Recess products

The uptight Clonde and very chill Shiurdt are an eccentric but perfectly matched pair, just like the ingredients in Recess’ CBD drinks.
In this series of short animated spots, Clonde revels in the adaptogens and brain-enhancing qualities of Recess’ unique ingredients, while Shiurdt vibes on the cool colorful can design and taste. Each expresses their unique Yin & Yang personality quirks in simple comic scenarios that emphasize the value points of Recess products.
The Style
The animation is minimal, but colorful and fun. The two characters are on a bright monochromatic backdrop and with only a few props or “set pieces” to indicate where they are (i.e. in their apartment). This will lend it a somewhat theatrical sense, while maintaining the poppy minimalism of Recess’ can designs. This simple approach will also make animation quick and easy to produce.
Short Sample Premises
Clonde uses Recess to finally complete his novel, but Shiurdt opens the window to let the spring air in and the entire type-written draft is swept out into the city streets. Clonde is mad at first, but then Shiurdt offers him more Recess. He sips and sits down to rewrite the entire thing, which is no problem with Recess calming and focus-forward formula.
Shiurdt prepares for a video date (or IRL date if that’s permitted when this is being produced!). She’s nervous because she’s got a crush on her date, but Recess helps her mellow out and be her chill and charming self.
Clonde and Shiurdt have a big moth problem, literally! A giant moth has flown in during the night and it’s turning their apartment into a whirlwind mess, Mothra-style.
