As a filmmaker myself, A24 has been a consistent source of inspiration for my work. I decided to checkout the A24 site and see if there was any copy that could use some tweaking, and I noticed their opt-in pop up for their email list has copy that could be punched just a bit.

WANT MORE A24?

[I like this bit but the font is a little visually blurry for me, so my eyes go right to the following text, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but thought I’d mention it]

Get our emails. Letters from our filmmakers, new trailers, podcasts, merch, and more. Not too often — just enough.

[I removed the “just enough” bit because my feeling is that, with all that wonderful stuff I’m getting from you, I don’t need an apology for receiving it. I’m happy to get it as often as you’re willing to send it! Not crowding the Inbox is still a nice thing, because promotional type emails get annoying quickly, but my feeling is, if I’m opting in, it’s because I want what you’re offering, so I’m not thinking of it as spam. I led with “new merch” in the second list because there’s a sense of snatching that stuff up before it gets sold out. Leading with the letter from filmmakers makes sense, because that is the emphasis of A24 obviously, but I could see leading with the merch bit and putting the letters part second, or at the end of the list after podcasts.]
